Creativity and accountability

I've created this blog to be my place to document the crafts and things I like to make. I'm also going to post things I try on Pinterest to see it they really work. So many times I've run across things on Pinterest and tried them, only to have them fail. This blog will keep me accountable to what I've started and see it to the finish since I'm tired of having UFOs everywhere!

So! For my first post, here's what I'm working on.

Cute? I think he will be when I finish with him. I worked on him all day. This was the first time I've worked with polymer clay (other than simple beads) and find it really fun! I know I have lots to learn and hopefully my sculpting will get smoother as I get more experience. It was super hot outside today, so I didn't feel guilty at all watching Voyager all day on Netflix and working on his face.
Next, Ill be making his hands and feet and then attaching them to a wire armature body. I've been following the directions in the book called FaeMaker: Making fantasy characters out of polymer clay. by Dawn M Schiller. Great book and pretty easy to follow instructions. First time working with Polymer clay, other than beads, and I don't think I did to shabby! It'll be fun getting him all together so he 'comes alive'. I love fantasy characters and I've made lots of cloth art dolls, so this will be a great way to keep doing what I really love and then add another element. Polymer clay.
Hopefully, I'll have some time tomorrow to work on the hands and feet.
